Qualification.

Every opportunity that reaches your team has met the standard you set, its seriousness confirmed and a next step already agreed.

Introductions at companies like these each met the standard our clients set

Why a booked meeting is not the measure.

We assess relevance before anything reaches your team.

See why outcomes are the measure
01The challenge

Meetings that prove contact, not fit

A booked meeting can be missed, and a held meeting proves contact, not commercial fit.

A cost to your pipeline

How we address it

Committed to accepted qualified opportunities, not to meetings booked.

  • Judged against a written standard
  • Accepted by your team on the evidence

02The challenge

Selling time lost to noise

Every unqualified conversation is time taken from the opportunities your team could close.

03The challenge

Early interest presented as ready

Early or out-of-scope interest takes up a first conversation before there is anything to discuss.

A cost to your standing

How we address it

We confirm the requirement and its timing before anything is handed over.

  • Early interest recorded as early
  • What does not qualify stays with us

A written standard, agreed before launch.

Before launch we agree with you, in writing, what a qualified opportunity is for your business: the accounts, the situations and the decision-makers that count. The target profile written with you names your ideal counterparties and grades every dimension as ideal, acceptable or out of scope.

For a private equity mandate in the middle market, the profile might define a band for assets under management, name the Managing Partner as the decision-maker and limit the mandate to co-invest or LP opportunities.

  • The accounts, situations and decision-makers that count
  • Every dimension graded ideal, acceptable or out of scope
  • Criteria that do not change after the fact

Five tests every accepted opportunity meets.

Accepted by your team on the evidence behind it.

Light falling through an arched doorway

The organization recognizes the problem you solve. The conversation starts from a reason to talk rather than from persuasion.

It is in a position to fund a solution. The conversation turns on fit rather than on whether there is budget behind it.

It matches the size set out in the target profile agreed with you. Size counts where it changes the ability to buy or your ability to serve.

It sits inside the markets, segments and situations your team can serve. It also fits the pace agreed with you.

Its interest is confirmed by our team. Early interest is recorded as early and is not presented to you as ready.

Three checks on every response.

At any point there may be a dozen responses pending review, from a private credit fund, a specialty lender, a growth equity fund or a family office.

Each is assessed on fit, readiness and next step, and has to pass all three before it reaches your team.

Nothing unready reaches you, and nothing is wasted.

Qualification protects your team from noise without discarding what the market is telling us. What does not qualify still informs the mandate each quarter.

A private credit platform builds a $19B mandate pipeline.

The challenge

Deal flow was irregular and dependent on referrals. There was no systematic origination channel.

What we built

  • A governed intake process, from submission to mandate, term sheet and funding
  • Coverage across 50+ industries
  • A global investor network, activated

The outcome

Within twelve months the platform had a governed origination channel and 14 term sheets issued.

How few accounts qualify.

Qualification is where coverage narrows most deliberately. On one representative mandate, about one in four engaged accounts went on to qualify.

These are qualified opportunities, counted before your team reviews them against the written standard. The figures describe past work.

What your team does not have to handle.

Who makes the assessment?

Our team, on your behalf. The infrastructure we operate organizes and tracks every response, and we read each one against your profile, confirm fit and readiness and deal with counterparties directly.

Can the criteria change once results arrive?

Not after the fact. An opportunity is judged against the standard you approved. Where results point to different priorities, any change to the scope is agreed with you before it applies.

Can we add tests of our own?

Yes, where they materially change commercial viability. One or two may be added to the five, such as check size, geography, regulation, an active project or channel fit, and they are written into the standard before launch.

What if our team does not review in time?

Each opportunity is reviewed within a written window, set before launch. Silence after the window counts as acceptance.
